SOLAR INDUSTRY LEADER EXPANDS NATIONALLY AND GLOBALLY

San Rafael, CA … March 6, 2006. Sun Power & Geothermal Energy Co., Inc., one of the nation’s leaders in the integrated development, design and construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, has changed its name to SPG Solar, Inc. (SPG). The name change is being done in conjunction with major expansion of the company.

“This name change focuses our business,” said Dan Thompson, SPG’s President & CEO. “As SPG moves into its next stage of growth, acquiring and developing major energy projects not just throughout California, but well beyond California and U.S. borders, our exclusive focus on solar energy will be invaluable in building our brand. The new name illustrates our company’s future while respecting its past.”

SPG is well-known in the solar industry for its high-performance solar PV systems, which provide customers with the best return on investment (ROI) in the industry, as well as for its state-of-the-art modeling and monitoring systems. SPG is unique in having two ancillary companies: SPG Solar International, Inc. to build projects for customers overseas; and Thompson Technology Industries, Inc., a proprietary solar products company that manufactures and sells specialty solar goods to professional installers.
