A ground mounted solar tracking system, producing more solar energy per acre with the SunSeeker tracker, powers 90% of Ratto Bros’ cooling plant. The solar installation not only cuts down on their daily operating costs but provides a long-term hedge against rising electricity costs and a strategy towards sustainable production.

The solar tracking system produces over 2.1 million kilowatt hours (kWh) yearly, equivalent to powering 192 average American homes annually and providing energy during peak hours of the day, when electricity loads and prices are at their highest.
